Shaunacee Harris

Owner/ Therapist

Shaunacee Harris, LCMHC, founder of Light of Resilience Counseling, providing compassionate therapy for women in Charlotte.

Hey there! I’m Shaunacee, the owner of Light of Resilience! I understand how life can throw unexpected curveballs. Balancing health, family, and work has shaped my approach to supporting you. Resilience isn’t about never falling—it’s about finding your light and rising again.

As Maya Angelou said, “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated…” This fuels my passion for helping others navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. With years of experience in nonprofit work and private practice, I use various approaches with a culturally attuned perspective that honors your unique story.

Together, we’ll uncover your inner strength and navigate whatever life throws your way. When I’m not supporting clients, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, crafting, or creating meaningful moments with my family.

Philosophy of Light of Resilience

At Light of Resilience, we believe healing begins by embracing your struggles and reconnecting with your inner strength. Life’s challenges, like anxiety and perfectionism, can leave you feeling drained, but you don’t have to face them alone. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, we help you set boundaries, find balance, and reclaim joy, peace, and purpose, so you can thrive.
